(You can view TV Envy’s Master Programming Schedule here.)
MONDAY 12/1)- Shrek the Halls (ABC, 8pm): Hopefully this Mike Myers laugher will help us all forget The Love Guru.
- Inside the Actor’s Studio (Bravo, 8pm): “Daniel Radcliffe, star of the Harry Potter film franchise, charts his career journey.” I’m not sure I want to see James Lipton enthusiastically talking about Radcliffe’s nude Broadway performance.
- Heroes (NBC, 9pm): “Ando, Sam and Frack try to restore Hiro’s memory with a comic book.” Any person trying to follow this series should be given an instruction manual.
- Boston Legal (ABC, 10pm): “When Denny receives bad news about the state of his Alzheimer’s, Alan goes before the Massachusetts Supreme Court to plead for access to an experimental drug that can help his condition.” Alzheimers? Maybe Shatner simply forgot why George Takei dislikes him so.

Despite little assistance from it’s lead-in, Grey’s Anatomy saw its best numbers since the season premiere. Unfortunately, the series couldn’t keep CBS from taking its fourth Thursday in a row.

- Ugly Betty (8.3 million, 2.5/7) plunged by 900,000.

Thursday Ratings: ER Fans Welcome Back Mark Greene
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Comedy, Drama, Prime Time, Reality, Sci-Fi/Horror, ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, The CW, ER, Grey’s Anatomy, My Name Is Earl, Survivor, The Office, Ratings,
Viewers in the mood to reminisce returned to ER last night. The appearance of Anthony Edwards gave a nice boost to the closing series - and network - yesterday. Unfortunately, the ratings bump wasn’t enough to overtake CBS in either the viewers or demos this Thursday.
8pm
- Survivor: Gabon (13 million, 4.1/11 in 18-49) added on 800,000.
- Ugly Betty (9.2 million, 2.8/7) picked up another 200,000.
- My Name is Earl (7 million, 2.8/8) improved by 400,000; Kath & Kim (5.1 million, 2.1/5) fell by a 1/2 million.
- A Kitchen Nightmares block (4.8 million, 2.2/6) was even with last week.
- Smallville (4.4 million, 1.7/4) lost 400,000.

Casting Corner: In Plain Sight, Kath & Kim, Medium and More

Here’s a quick look at some of the casting announcements made recently:
CSI: Miami: No matter what you think of Diddy, you can’t deny the mans’ diversity. Who else could front several reality shows, star in A Raisin in the Sun and take on David Caruso? According to Entertainment Tonight, the mogul is scheduled to air in two episodes of the CBS drama next year. He will play a federal prosecutor (yeah, I know) who has a personal and professional beef with Horatio’s team.

Lost Premiere Date Included in ABC Midseason Schedule
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Comedy, Drama, Prime Time, Sci-Fi/Horror, ABC, Grey’s Anatomy, Lost, Scrubs, News,
ABC’s upcoming midseason schedule will probably look like a giant gift to some…a lump of coal to others.
The good news? The Oceanic 6 will make their return and the Sacred Heart crew (a.k.a. Scrubs) will have their network debut. The bad news? Pushing Daisies and Dirty Sexy Money will both be given (temporary? permanent?) vacations.

Isaiah Washington Speaks Out on Current Grey’s Anatomy Controversy
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Drama, Prime Time, ABC, Grey’s Anatomy, News,
There’s nothing like a controversial topic to get get Isaiah Washington talking. Although he has nothing to do with the current Grey’s Anatomy controversy, the former ABC star heard the word “gay” and felt he had to speak up.
Washington - who was famously axed from the show after using a homophobic slur in reference to T.R. Knight. - said he finds it “disgusting” to see what is happening to a show he supposedly still loves and cares about. (He still watches?) Since Isaiah knows more than well what it feels like to be let go abruptly from a series, he is now speaking out in defense of Brooke Smith, the actress who may have been cut because of her lesbian storyline.
?“I looked at a brilliant actress, whom I have adored since I first saw her in Silence of the Lambs. For her to be treated this way, I find very interesting,” Washington told TV Guide. He went on to say that he found the timing of the announcement to be particularly sad. “The fact is that, just before the holidays, you have a mother, a wonderful actress removed from a steady income without the proper reasoning behind it…” he added. (Now if Knight was the one let go, would he still be saying the same thing?)

MONDAY (11/10)
- Chuck (NBC, 8pm): “Chuck chances upon his ex-flame (Jordana Brewster) and embellishes his status in life to impress her.” We’re talking about a girl who starred in D.E.B.S.. He shouldn’t try too hard.
- Prison Break (FOX, 9pm): “Gretchen gives Michael the rest of the bird book, but he suffers another seizure after deciphering it.” That pretty much sums up my feelings about bird books as well.
- Samantha Who? (ABC, 9:30): “Sam is sentenced to community service, where she meets a troubled young woman (Mary-Kate Olsen) and decides to help turn her life around.” Sam has now become the better-looking version of Earl Hickey.
- 17 Kids and Counting (TLC, 10pm): “Jinger takes her driving test; the family celebrates Michelle’s birthday and responds to viewer questions.” Uhh, I have a question. Jinger? Seriously?
